UTAR DRESS CODE

UTAR Dress Code for Students (updated on 15 August 2022) Students are reminded to comply with UTAR Dress Code for Students as specified by the University when in Campus whether or not while at a lecture, tutorial, examination, class, workshops or when carrying out, undertaking, attending to or being involved in any activity outside the Campus. Students must display their own Student Card at all times on Campus or in such manner on such occasions and at such times as may, from time to time, be directed by the University. Sports attire are allowed when students are coming to campus for sports activities during weekday from 6pm to 11:59pm and weekend activities. Students should follow UTAR Dress Code while attending academic activities (lecture, tutorial, practical, test, examination, library, teaching laboratory). Smoking/ Vaping or E-Smoking is Strictly Prohibited On Campus

Dear Students & Staff,

Please note that any type of smoking whether it is normal cigarette smoking, e-smoking or "vaping" (even if there is NO smell), is strictly prohibited inside the building or outside within the perimeters of the university. If any student is caught, the student will be subjected to student disciplinary action.

Submission of Fake Documents to Relevant Authorities in UTAR

Please take note that students caught and found guilty of submitting fake/doctored/amended documents to relevant authorities in UTAR will be charged, among others, under SECTION 6(2) OF STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT ["THE CODE"] which states that: -

"A student shall not violate any provision of any written law, whether within or outside the campus."

SECTION 25.5 FALSIFYING UNIVERSITY DOCUMENTS OR RECORDS

"Making, possessing, or using any falsified, torn or defaced University document or record including but not limited to altering or forging vehicle sticker, University certificates or any University document or record is an offence."

And SECTION 25.9 FALSE REPORTING

“A student shall not lodge any false report or make any false statements to the University or any relevant authority.” Student may be subjected to suspension of study due to this offence.
