Welcoming Address

Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. Here you start your new chapter in your life, as a university student. You will face many challenges throughout this journey, but with faith you will be able to overcome it and succeed in the end. Never be defeated by failures. Failure is the mother of success, it is a lifelong learning process.

All of you come from different backgrounds. Whatever your reason is for enrolling into UTAR, you now hold in your hands UTAR’s name and reputation. Each of us has a responsibility to uphold, maintain and improve UTAR’s reputation. Always be accountable and mindful of what you say and do. 

UTAR is a university that has various clubs and societies, and over dozens of events organized every trimester. Therefore, do involve yourself in co-curricular activities as well while focusing on your studies. It may enhance your interpersonal skills which is an important skill for your future.Above all, do not hinder your studies while trying to improve yourself in various ways. 

We hope that your journey here will help you grow, mature and become the best you can be.
